The rooms were very nice and clean, air-conditioners work perfectly. Breakfast daily was on time and a total 5* with a very clean dining hall and fresh fruit. Staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Kids enjoyed the pool which was always clean with a perfect Lapa for relaxation. In a nut shell our experience was a pleasure and we realized value for money and beyond. Thank you Ibhubesi
I cant rate Ibhubesi Lodge with even a one star actually. I stayed for one night. When I booked in the very helpful chef told me only at booking in that their transformer blew up right outside the Lodge yesterday morning. They did not let me know of this fact before I left home. So that meant no aircon or electricity for I don't know how long in the hottest time of the year. They did not indicate that they even have a generator, so when it became dark at 7pm I ate my dinner in the dark. When I booked in I was advised not to open any windows because they have lots of misquotes. I really battled, and swimming was no option as I did not want to struggle and fall everywhere over the multitude of stairs. I had no water in the shower at all. The cheff gave me his number if I needed anything, which I was grateful for. At 8pm was I given a candle, which I kept lit until going to bed. A few minutes after blowing out the candle. I heard the knawing sounds of something and it was 2 mice or rats in my room. The staff at breakfast was nice and friendly. But I am sad that the photos that are posted are not showing the true reflection of the Lodge establishment. I must admit that the room was clean. And I had one towel provided. If effort is put into to the upkeep of the property it could be better. There is also a tuckshop on the outside of the premises.
5 weeks work trip spent well at Ibhubesi lodge in Mtubatuba. It's amazing to see black people can provide so much in terms of tourism. They were challenges but it's something can be rectify.
We enjoyed our stay, the owner was very accommodating and friendly.Rooms: 3/5
This place is nice but the service is poor. Guest towels are brought to the rooms when you have arrived as a guest and that is very disturbing as their employees are in and out of your room while you want to mind your own business. They also leave soaps used by Previous guests and you get confused whether they want you to use a soap used by another person. I didnt even have a tea in my room.
What an amazing experience the service we received was memorable. Our room was spotless the breakfast was delicious we are already planning our next visit.
I really enjoyed my stay at ibhubesi Lodge. The food was delicious and the staff was professional and well mannered. I will definitely visit again.
Wow... What a perfect time I had at Ibhubesi. The bed are so comfy and their food is what will bring me back it was sooo tasty .... Keep it up guys
We held our family gathering during Christmas there. 1 rooms are nice- the only commendable thing there. 2 kitchen facility was poor equipped. 3 extremely rude host!Rooms: 4/5
It is a very terrible place, I bathed with cold water. Apparently they forgot to switch on the geyser, we got served with same food, we not given an option to choose, not even asked if you take pork or not. Served with cold milk, there are cats walking around. The price is not worth the place, nothing luxurious
