Booked directly on their website with Cranberry in Ladybrand, meaning to book Cranberry in Kathu. Oops... called and emailed immediately to let them know. More than 4 weeks, 7 emails and 15 calls all ignored later, after threatening to go to social media and take legal action, Norman gave me a 75% refund citing his cancellation policy. Deal with this guy at your own risk!
It is a very well done guesthouse. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The owners really did an exceptional job with both the room design and decor. The bedrooms are well layed out with comfortable beds and excellent attention to detail regarding charging ports, cupboard space, etc. The kitchenette has everything you need in a self catering unit. The bathroom consists of both a bath and shower which is convenient when travelling with small children. Safety: 24 hour security available as well as a night butler.
Rooms large and comfortable. No water during loadshedding. Beautiful location. Limited internet access but they gave us vouchers to connect. Food was good but service terribly slow. Good location to travel to LesothoRooms: 3/5

When we got to cranberry the place was beautiful staff was friendly and restaurant felt inviting. we bought a salad and some Alfredo pasta for takeaway. The Alfredo was ok just needed some salt , after i added the salt it was nice, but the salad was disappointing, we had the bacon and chicken salad and asked for some avocado to be added and when we received it half of the bottom of the container was filled with vinegar and salad dressing. This made the salad soggy and overpowered the rest of the ingredients added to the menu.
We didn't stay over, but ordered take-aways from the restaurant. The place is beautiful and we were impressed by all they had to offer.That is where it ended, however. We ordered crispy duck and it was offensively bad. We were left with a pile of bones after having to scrape morsels of meat off them. I also had an apple crumble that was totally overpriced for its size, age and sogginess. I see from other reviews thay things are normally better. Such a pity.
