I purchased a variety of sweetmeats for a 16day prayer for someone else. The staff was friendly and helpful and put together a lovely platter for me. They made this so effortless for me as I am Muslim and was not sure of what was needed.Food: 5/5

I love this place. Friendly owner. Tasty piping hot savouries... the one day I felt for some vaddes and they were sold out. The owner got some fried for me in no time. And tasty jalebi too.... Highly impressed...
Freshest goodies always. Quite an array of items to purchase. Only downside is the parking issue as there isn't sufficient and on the main road which is super busy.

Poor quality bhaja. Sweetmeats had a bad after taste. Won't go back. Bad service
It's one of those places which most families would have visited if you are living in Durban. Popular for their jelebi, wide range of traditional Indian sweetmeats and sev and nut combos. Whether it was a prayer, celebration or a Friday treat, a stop at the famous Indian Delight was a way of life for the Indian household. The puri patha was a definite savoury treat. It seems to have passed through generations because the current owner Ravi has inherited his father's style of treating customers with respect and a smile. Their samoosas are very tasty. I've recently tasted their takeaway food. The broadbeans curry was enjoyable... Spice was right, not oily and freshly cooked. Abit on the pricey side for the quantity but you won't go wrong with taste and freshness. It's a quaint place that's bursting with colourful sweetmeats, aromas and tons of tasty goodies. The next time you looking around for freshly made sweetmeats or a savoury snack on a cold day, stop by.... You won't be disappointed.
