Most disappointing!!! After the favourable reviews I'd read, this eating experience was anything but satisfying. The chips were dried out and slightly burnt. The fish batter was burnt and so dry I had to spit it out, then remove the rest of it as it basically was inedible. The fish itself was overcooked and chewy, without any juices. I had bought this meal on the way out of town, otherwise I would have most certainly returned it for a refund. The only conclusion I can make is that the fish wasn't fresh and indeed had been battered and possibly heated the day before. The other possibility is that the oil was too hot; it certainly wasn't fresh and may too have been from the previous day as I ordered just after they opened shop. To get their food this wrong means I'll be looking for another fish & chip shop near me.
Exceptional service! Friendly staff/owners! Got my fish and chips under 10 minutes and it was delicious and huge portions We ordered medium fish and medium chips with a tartar sauce for R145 - massive bargain. Update: so we didn't finish our food because of being so full, but guys, if you have an airfryer and you reheat/airfry your leftovers... Amazing! Tastes just as fresh and crispy as the day you bought the meal! I'm very impressed because lots of fishy foods never taste as good the next day, and my leftovers tasted amazing! Very impressed!
Good portions and good quality, but you must be willing to wait 30-40 minutes for your order. Very popular, which makes them very busy. It is better to call in and place your order and then pick it up later.
Great food but avoid peak hours like Friday between 5 and 7. We placed our order at 5:55 and was told the order would take 45 minutes. 1hour and 35 minutes later we finally received our order of 2 hake and chips. Unfortunately the wait ruined the whole experienceFood: 4/5
Ordered takeaway fish n chips and calamari! With previous owner there was a longer waiting time but the items were fresh. This is first time I have been since he left. Quality has deteriorated substantially. I was pleasantly surprised by the shorter waiting time. But pre warmed fish n chips just doesn't do it for me.

Great place for a delicious take away fish and chips. Be prepared to wait +/- 45 mins as the owner does a lot of the work himself, but once it comes you will be pleasantly surprised. This is one of the best fish and chips I’ve tasted and very reasonably priced. Love it. JGT
We drove from fourways, food was made quick, the portions were really big. Was worth the drive. We started eating on our way home. Tastes amazing.
Surprisingly large portions. Ordered a mini chips the first time, and it was enough to fill two people. Fortunately did not wait long.Food: 5/5
