Footprint Media Academy (FMA) is registered with the South African Qualifications Authority(SAQA) and the Media Information Communication Telecommunication (MICT) Seta Training Provider.
The skills shortage within Southern Africa is growing exponentially. Although many opportunities exist within the Television and Telecommunications Industry, most candidates do not have the practical or theoretical skills required to operate within the environment. These skills shortages have led to a barrage of trainers and training institutions “cashing-in” on the desperation of the industry. Many of the trainers and training institutions do not have the necessary broadcast and telecommunications facilities and have facilitators who have either no experience or have been out of the industry for too long to know what technology is currently being used.
In order to address the skills shortage, it is imperative to give learners a solid theoretical base as well as a sound practical skill which will enable
them to enter the workplace and be fully functional immediately.
Footprint Media Academy (FMA) opened its doors as a training provider in July 2008. FMA is able to skill train and develop people in the various disciplines of the Broadcast and Telecommunications Industry.
