Local deli and coffee shop    in Rosebank, can get a bit quiet during the week. Variety of baked goods available   , both savoury and sweet desserts. Sit down and take away option is available, tables are serviced. Suitable for a quick snack or light lunch, breakfast menu is available

I had the baked cheesecake a couple of years ago and since then became my indulgence whenever we visit in JHB. My husband had to go to JHB the past week and he brought back a freshly baked cheesecake. Its absolutely the best baked cheesecake ever. You deserve 10 stars but unfortunately the rating only allows for 5.

Great ambience. Wide variety of sumptuous eats. Roomy and warm space. The Breakfast Crostini is a well-crafted culinary delight.

My experience at Fournos has not been very good. For the past 6 weeks, every Saturday and Sunday morning around 6:15am, I stop by for a take away coffee. Staff does not greet you. When you enter and stand by the pay point to order and pay for your coffee, nobody comes to help you. You have to ask for assistance and then someone will approach slowly. Even after complaining about the service to staff, it happens again when you get there. If the door is open, it means they are open, but do not expect a friendly face or someone greeting you or offering any assistance unless you ask. This morning, thinking it would be different, I entered. Staff looks up from what they are doing but nobody greets. Nobody come to assist. I asked if anyone is going to help me, no response. When I asked to speak to a manager, a guy came towards the till but said nothing. No greeting. Exchanged a few words with they guy and then turned around and left. Experience was shocking. Cannot believe that they won Best of Joburg for so many years. In my view, when you enter a shop or restaurant, someone should greet you at least. Don’t expect this from Fournos Rosebank.

My daughter and myself decided to share a chicken mayo tramazini for lunch. The chicken was good but the tramazini was just on a large white roll, that was squashed in the toaster. Not how I know a tramazini to be made. Very disappointed as if we wanted a toasted sandwich we would have ordered one for less of a price.

Horrific experience! No pride in the presentation of the food! Food was cold! Very overpriced R25 a croissant? - crazy. Staff with an absolute no care attitude! Sad to see as our experience in Dunkeld has NEVER been like this!
