Fordoun Spa Hotel Restaurant

Lovely hotel with the most amazing staff! Excellent breakfast which was included. The paid for dinner was absolutely exceptional in part due to meticulous, friendly service from the waitress under the watchful eye of a world class maitre d. The food was outstanding! Beautiful grounds with a lovely dam. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was an amazing touch in the cooler weather. All in all a fantastic stay and highly recommended! Food & drinks: Simply amazing!

I am a fan of Fordoun and return whenever I can. Top notch service plus excellent spa facilities make this place a favourite. It is a luxury hotel and the prices aren't for a tight budget unfortunately but it is wonderful for a treat. I can recommend booking a spa package with meals and accommodation included - these are good value. As a spoil we trued the superior suite this time - it was fantastic. The food especially breakfast is sublime.

Beautiful location, close to N3, <2 hours from Durban. Great service, delicious food, even for vegans, vegetarians. Some enjoyed spa treatments. Some forest birding, little lake with water birds too. Bicycles available on request. In the heart of the Midlands. Walkability: Tranquil and beautiful walks, short or long diatance, with berg views. Food & drinks: Every meal and mouthful was delicious. Always be prepared for weather changes, pack smartly, the area is known to have 4 seasons in one day

2nd time there. Love the care, attention to detail , friendliness and warmth of the staff. We had a problem with a damaged tyre on a pothole and the manager and owner were extremely helpful with providing options to repair as well as assisted with transport to sort out the Tyre. Beware of the potholes on Nottingham Road, but the place and spa is the best in the area.

we have always enjoyed our stay whenever we visit the Fordoun Hotel & Spa over the years. our stay over the weekend of 13, 14 15 January 2023 was certainly a little more rewarding: we had experienced a mis-hap while on the road not so far from the hotel when we hit a pot hole. the tyre was damaged beyond repair. not only did we have the pleasure of meeting the owner, Richard, who, after hearing our plight, offered his on-site bakkie for our use, but we also had the kind and helpful manager Murray, who assisted us with collecting a spare tyre and putting us in touch with a super guy Steve from Hi-Q. all of of this just tells me that there are wonderful people out their who are prepared to go beyond their normal duties to help others. thank you Richard, Murray, and Steve.
