I took the Addo Elephant National Park Inclusive Full-day safari; the tour guide was John. It was the best safari I have ever had; he was knowledgeable about the animals and plants, including the vegetation, and knew a lot about the park's history. I would recommend it to everyone who would like to enjoy a relaxed safari with a well-informed guide who knows the places and areas where to find the best spots.
On the 1st of January we had the chance to take a day tour with afroventures. Our guide for the day was Kevin and we were lucky enough to be only two couples in the car, a real treat! We had an amazing day, I would definitely recommend taking a tour with them, as they know where to find the animals and provide you with so much interesting information! Do not hesitate to ask a lot of questions your tour will be even nicer! The lunch break was really nice as well, thanks again. This tour is also providing economical support for surrounding communities which I found amazing, I love the bracelet we got as a gift at the end of the tour, means so so much. Kevin was very friendly, available and would stop whenever we'd ask or provide us with infos and also helped us with an itinerary to join our hotel on the evening We did see 4 of the big 5 and we feel blessed for this incredible experience we got to live!!! Thanks again for this amazing day!
Our family spent 2 weeks in South Africa and the 2 days we spent in Addo Elephant Park with John from Afroventures was the absolute highlight. Can’t recommend them enough.
I had a great time in a tour organized by this company. It was a 5 days tour, with some hiking, in the Wild Coast. The guide, John, is superb and makes great efforts to tailor the tour to your interests. He is also very knowledgeable about the history and way of living of the visited places and does whatever it takes to ensure a great experience by the visitor. I plan to come back with my family and no doubt that I will hire this company again to show us around this magnificent country.
John was a delightful guide around the Gqeberha city centre. He was knowledgeable and flexible in that we added a few extra things into our trip. Thank you.
We did a safari through the Addo Nationalpark with Afroventures. The guide was 40 min late for the pick-up and we have been in a tour bus and not in a normal safari car. That was unprofessional. But the tour on itself was very interesting. We had a lot of fun with our guide and he showed us as much as possible.
We’ve been at „Addo to Karoo 4 Day Safari” and it was an amazing adventure! For those who want to experience Safari not just do Safari! Safari's goal is to get to know as many animals as possible, it's obvious. However, to enjoy contact with them you need engaged and professional people. We’ve been more then lucky to have a Kevin as our guide. Kevin, who turned out to be not only an excellent and experienced guide... The person who has allowed us to better understand animal behavior and their habits. One who showed us amazing nature, which intimidated us at every turn of the road. A person whose amazing instincts allowed to meet the largest horde of lions over 15!!! in Eastern Cape. Thanks to him, we got closer to the marching group of elephants in such a way that they could easily walk centimeters past us. Or meet dozens of buffaloes in the middle of nowewhere. Despite the happy encounters with these amazing animals, we felt incredibly safe all the time. Last but not least, Kevin is also an incredibly friendly host who hosted us with local delicacies during picnics and prepared the evening barbecue. Animals that we were able to see: - Dozens of elephants in the group, during the march, but also roaming in the bushes. - Dozens of wandering buffaloes and individuals enjoing grass. - A horde lions, which we met alone right after sunrise, without other cars and tourists around! Just we and... over 15 lions!!! - Groups of beautiful mountain zebras we already know how they differ from those we have known so far. - Red-billed Oxpecker riding on the back of a buffalo, Red Hartebeest, Bushbuck, Ealnd, Springbok and many more which names don’t remember : Places we visited: - Amazing tracts of bush in Addo National Park. - Vast open spaces of Mountain Zebra. - Sunset in the breathtaking Valley of Desolation. - Rest in artistically lazy New Beshteda. Service that made us feel comfortable: - Travel for two with a dedicated guide. - Individual approach and adjusting the pace to meet our needs. - Stories about Africa, people, nature and animals while traveling. - Accommodation in comfortable conditions in double rooms. - Full board with delicious local cuisine. - Availability of cool drinks throughout the day. - Ensuring safety throughout the journey.
Afroventures did a 3 day surf and safari tour for our wedding party. Everyone loved the experience and was especially impressed with the knowledge and expertise shared by guides Leigh and John. We can't wait for our next Afroventure!
