We had a fantastic time at Gala Gala this week. The resort is very easy to get to and has an entrance which is simple to navigate even in buses. They gave a good range of room types available and each has a homely and comfortable vibe. The beds were good and we had good sleep. The staff are some of the friendliest and most hospitable people you'll meet. Everyone had big smiles, a clear role they were playing and were very happy to assist with anything we needed.
It is a real Eco Resort! We did not stay here in the end as I have a bit of an issue with spiders and we had three big ones hanging in our patio and quite a few bugs in our bathroom. So if this is not for you then maybe don’t come here. Nevertheless, the place is super cute and arranged with a lot of love and detail! In addition, management has been super accommodating, not charging us a penny for leaving on such short notice. If bugs and spiders are not an issue for you then this place is a real little jungle paradise!
We loved our time with Bev and her Team. I had the happiest birthday and memorable weekend. We will definitely be back and friends who we recommended to go there have already been and loved it too!!Rooms: 5/5
Gala Gala is een fantastic cosi place to stay. Bev, Mandy and team are so friendly and they do everything to make you feel at home and look after you. The service level and hospitality is outstanding. We stayed with our 2 kids 14 and 12 in a deluxe cabin. The beds was very comforable and the shower was amazing. Tasty breakfast, nice spa facilities and there is good WIFI. The restaurant nearby is also great with good food and stunning view over the ocean. We are definitely coming back to this wonderful place to stay longer and enjoy the beautiful sea and do some more diving. Thanks a lot Bev and Mandy and team for a fantastic time.
Beautiful eco resort offering excellent personal service and breakfast and dinner. We stayed in the beautiful, three bedroomed Pool Cottage. Lounge, dining room and fully equipped kitchen for self catering visitors. Splash pool immediately outside. This room is not disability friendly but some of the delightful reeded cottages are. It was the perfect venue for our Truessence Dolphin Retreat, where we also used the well appointed conference. Decor throughout is evidence of co-owner, Mandy's, interior design skills. This resort, set in coastal Ponta d'Ouro, is well worth a visit.

Highly recommended! Bev and Mandy are fantastic hosts and the resort is awesome. Lots of chill tropical vibes throughout the accommodation and the beautiful gardens & communal areas. Located down the quieter end of town which is nice, it's very peaceful, but still an easy walk to the beach. We also went diving with Mike at Blowing Bubbles - a great dive & stay set-up between the two!
Amazing hosts, very friendly staff, and a great eco lifestyle based setting. Breakfasts are amazing and access to the private beach really makes for a special experience. Just make sure u carry mosquito repellent in the summer months.
Rooms actually miniscule huts made from straws, called "cabanas" are small. Ours was a "deluxe" one, meaning it has its attached kitchen clean and moderately well equipped and a bathroom. Still, the bedroom was little larger than the bed itself. There was no room safe, no A/C, no TV, not even enough room to put the luggage stand it was in the bathroom. We couldn't stay the whole length that we reserved and paid for.in advance, with no refunds. Pros: Friendly staff, good WiFi, rescue dogs and cats being taken care of. Cons: Bugs, bugs everywhere and even cockroaches in the bathroom, breakfast was very limited and they charge extra for tea, coffee and cheese. Too many noisy people from outside of the hote around, less than ideal value for money.
We camped at Gala Gala for 5 nights, great hospitality shown by Mandy, Bev, Amor and team. Excellent camp sites with private ablutions, had a wonderful breakfast and enjoyed the convenience of the honesty bar. Defintely be back!Service: 5/5
