Glenwood High School is a traditional boys school based in South Africa. Founded in 1910, we are committed to educating for life in a changing society.
Glenwood's mission is dedicated to offering the best possible education to prepare the individual for the new Millennium.
To this end we offer a diverse range of subjects: English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Mathematics, Science, Biology, Accounting, Business Economics, History, Geography, Art, Drama, Technical Drawing, Design and Technology and Computer Studies. Moreover, the pupils are able to take advantage of two well equipped, up to date IT Centres, as well as a recently refurbished Media Centre. This ensures for each Glenwood boy an academic edge - borne out by our Matric Exemption percentage pass. Many pupils also undertake the Accounting, Mathematics, Science and Computer Olypiads.
The school provides many sporting opportunities in which learners can take part: from rugby, cricket, hockey, racquet sports and aquatics to musketry, softball, volleyball and table tennis.
The many Honours Boards around the school are evidence of the School's sporting prowess. To complete the holistic circle, other extra-curricular activities include chess, debating, public speaking, business game, drama, band, first aid and a military history society.
