The boat is in good shape, well maintained and serviced. Bow thruster was not working properly, It switched on occasionally. Check in was ready 3 hours before scheduled, it was quick and unobtrusive. Restaurant at the marina isn't so good, There is shortage of wine, two fish meals only, higher prices. There was strong wind in the marina on check out- 25-30 knots, which is unusual according to its situation. The area is suitable for calm sailing in short range, There are many bays to anchor if you find a place because of lots tourist ships.
Chartering a boat involves many steps. From the booking to the boat check out everything went great. Many thanks to Stephanie at the Globesailor for the patience and assistance with finding a boat for us. The communication with the charter company was also excellent. The boat was fully functional and we've got a great welcome and useful instructions from the staff at the base.
Rhodes Yacht charter with GlobeSailor This was my first time taking yacht cruise. Even I spend a lot of time on the water SUP surfing, kitesurfing it was the first experience going with yacht. The Yacht Charter Rhodes do everything in time. They have very professional team and keep their fleet in a very good condition. We didn't face any serious problems with the equipment. Bavaria 41 feet is not too spacious for 6 adults but enough. The rather powerful engine give you much more freedom to go on sails and than catch up in case your crew got bored. The route we chose seems to be pretty standard for this region Rhodes-Simi-Tilos-Chalki-Rhodes south traverse but very nice with a lot of lovely lagoons and short day routes between islands.
We were a group of 12 family for this bareboat charter. I wasn't sure about the destination as all my previous charters had been in more populated islands of the Caribbean BVI, Bahamas, Martinique, St-Marteen. I was expecting this navigation area to be quieter and it was. The islands are desert, expect for the 2 lighthouse keepers. Even Cayo Largo was very quiet as we were off season August. This was perfect for us as we wanted to spend time together, we weren't looking for `'external' entertainment. While we didn't get much wind at this time of the year, the water and navigation area was exceptional. I had never seen such unspoiled reefs, turkoise water and wildlife before. We were lucky enough to run into a group of 20+ dolphins that swam along the boat for nearly 20 minutes, we encountered a great diversity of marine animals including a whale shark, a manta ray and countless species of fishes. The boat was impeccable, everything was working as it should. The technical briefing I received at the base was the more complete I ever received. I wish all of this info could be put in writing as there is a lot to remember when taking command of a new boat. However, the service was exceptional. When we had a problem with the water maker and the generator, we were given rapid and detailed instructions to get it back online. We did appreciate the AC overnight ! Be advise a lot of cash Euros is required, credit card are not accepted anywhere. Even the base requires for everything to be paid in cash. Over all, we had a amazing week. I would strongly recommend this destination if you are looking for a quiet place to sail, reconnect with nature and just enjoy the beauty of Cuban waters. The service we received from GlobeSailor was impeccable and the same applies to the base team DYC.
We had booked this way out and had to dock in Dubrovnik the last night to catch a flight to Istanbul. The Pape Prvi then changed their schedule to dock in Split as their last port of the week. We had no knowledge of this but Global Sailor did so they switched boats on us without us knowing. When we checked in they said we were on a different boat and told us why, "To make your connection in Dubrovnik". The boat they put us on was the Meridijan of the Katarina Line. It was an amazing boat and the staff we're beyond great. I can not brag ,more about such a wonder experience and excellent service from the crew and from The Global Sailor as well. Highly recommend this venture and the Meridijan is a boat that is fantastic. Awesome skipper and cook and crew.
First time not in a flotilla for me so bit nervous but the team at Globesailor and Nautica Kufner made it very easy. The boat was in great condition given its age and the marina staff where friendly and helpful. No fuss or drama on collection or returning. Would certainly recommend.

The Globe Sailor did a fantastic job facilitating my rental! Great and personal service from Ian who really went all out for us to get a great week sailing in the best possible boat at our budget! Would without a doubt use their services again!
Chartered a yacht arranged by GlobeSailor. Service excellent. Check in procedure very professional and to the point. Base manager and staff were highly capable and knowledgeable. Saw some of the Istion skippers during the week - they were all very helpful and highly competent and professional. Highly recommended as a Charter Company. Boat very clean and performed perfectly. Great sailing vessel in low and high winds +20 knots one day. Ionian incredible and having chartered in many locations, this was the best ever week we have had. Recommend Ithaca and Kefalonia in particular.
