“Born and bred in East London, Glyn attended Selborne College where his immense appetite for sport – rugby in particular – was sufficiently appeased. After leaving school, his rugby pursuits opened many doors to travel internationally. From New Zealand and Australia to all over Europe and back across to Asia. Even though his sole focus on all of these occasions was to play sport, he always had a side interest in property and particularly how the different markets, the physical structures and the industry in general, were so unique in each country. After countless injuries on the field, Glyn moved from a “player’s role” into a “coach’s role” and took up the Sports Coordinating position at a high school in Durban. In 2013 the call to “come home to his Eastern Cape roots” was too strong to ignore; so he and his wife Juanita, packed their things to set off on a new adventure to the Bay of Blessing! His time back in Port Elizabeth has been fantastic and enriching in so many ways! Not the least of these is the growth in his immediate family from 2 members to 4: his son, Joel-Luke (4 years old in 2018) and his daughter Alexis (2 years old in 2018) are the gifts that just keep on giving! Whilst his time back in P.E. hasn’t been without its challenges, the tremendous support from loved ones and a blessed relationship with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, has been the fuel to keep his focus strong and his outlook positive.
