We attended a funeral here and the priest felt he had the right to embarrass my daughter by saying he was going to make an announcement that no eating was aloud. So sucking on a sweet or chewing on gum when your throat is a little scratchy is now considered to be eating. I saw a number of people's mouths moving but no one pulled out a plate of food and actually had a meal in the service. I had a few halls because I still had an irritating cough and that helped soothe my throat. My daughter was also suffering from a lingering cough but preferred to chew on gum. Okay so no eating is aloowed in the church and that is a respected matter, but we did not eat and for me the Priest thought he could just call her out while walking past her and embarrass an adult woman. We showed him better by not retaliating or responding as we could have, but we showed him respect which he has little of for others, I noticed. So the other thing that I felt his actions caused a disturbance on us enjoying the service. Where is the Godly love we should show others.

Beautiful Catholic church. Safe and secure parking. Welcome feeling, great and very friendly Priest. All protocols for covid19 followed to the max.

Wonderful congregation and amazing priest. Loads of options to join in. Mass is great whether you go on Saturday evening or Sunday 8am, 10am or 17h30 in the evening. Great community and wonderful spirit.

It has a adoration chapel. The only one that is open 24 hour in Cape Town area. The priest on our visit was well coming to a visitor. He help me with information about the local area. Thank you Fr Ivanhoe... can't wait to visit you again and I have not forgotten my promise. Keep well

The Good Shepherd Catholic Church is the best place for me to worship our Lord Jesus Christ. It is spiritually rewarding for all who follow our Lord.
