I had my husbands 2cnd year memorial at this church on 12 February & I had the rudest altercation with one of the older Greek congregant woman while the Priest was doing the service. I was sitting on the bench behind her to her left. I had my legs folded and she made such a scene with her arm and hands telling me I may not cross my legs. Now I’m NOT Greek but I’m sure Jesus does not give a damn how I’m sitting! This was unacceptable especially in a church. I don’t even think she was listening to the priest since the whole service through she was looking around and watching the people while talking to her daughter and her husband. I think this church allows too much of the older women to take control and in the end it becomes a concentration camp. I will say I’ll stick to the little Greek church in Alberton because I understood for the first time why my husband did not quite fancy this church. It’s sad!! Here I am a young widow severely in turmoil and I was treated in this manner!!
