Beautiful little airstrip nestled within the stunning surrounding hills, the Savana biome of the sussounding area almost makes you feel like you are in the bushveld. The strip is paved but short, sloping downhill on 05 ,so I'd suggest landing on 23 and taking off on 05 regardless if there is a slight tail wind. Be advised that there is a powerline / telephone line the is located about 49m from the runway at the end of 05, so be sure to come in high enough on finals for 23 and gain sufficient altitude when taking off from 05 to ensure clearance of the powerline. The managers of the airstrip are looking into taking the old phone line down . Beautiful seating implements are located underneath large shade producing trees ,so it is comfortable to sit next to the runway and enjoy the areal activities. Numerous large landmarks in the vicinity makes for easy navigation, to get to PTA ,just route South West ,straight to Renosterkop and then turn 297 and you'll fly straight to Cullinan dam.
Great runway and clubhouse and getting fuel was very easy thanks to Frik
It is amazing but I have never flu before in my life and I wish me and my family could go to Hawaii, am I right
