Groenkloof Spar

Friendly and helpful staff and a large variety of amazing food!

I bought a few groceries from Spar and Gave the cashier the number of my rewards card which was saved in an app called “Stocard”. I only realized when I got home that I did not receive the discount and that I had to pay full price even though I did present the information. They should stop acting like they add your details and give you discount.

Pretty average as spars go, the establishment is alway clean which I appreciate but they have a bit of an odd selection so don't alway have what you want and the quality of their bakery is also pretty average. Price wise it is on the more expensive side, an expense not reflected in the quality of goods you receive. Basically the only real thing I can say about it that stands out is its convenience as it is pretty well situated. Edit: dropped to 2 stars because honestly come away disappointed almost every time I shop there. Often find myself going out of my way to rather go to another shop

Probably the most rude cashiers in pta. Never greey, always busy talking to everybody else , accept the person they are helping

This KWIKSPAR in Groenkloof is one of the best, if you don't mind wasting time for one of the denizens of "club 41" or "fumo" to eventually leave and vacate a parking space for you. Parking problems aside, you can buy almost any item here, and regarding food and condiments a huge variety of products is kept, including some rather offbeat items. Where else can one buy German sweet and Australian hot mustard, Dutch Zoutedropsalty liquorice, and Coca-Cola that comes in a green aluminium can all in the same place. The shop does NOT sell weed, though. Prices on normal groceries are OK, and the cashiers are forced to give you honest change through a machine that takes your coins and gives you the change. It seems that they don't want you to take photos. I only noticed that after looking at my pictures, and nobody gave me any attitude. There goes my 5th star.

Very convenient shopping and always open until 8pm. Place is clean and neat. A good experience. Just be willing to pay a bit more for the convenience...

Easy access, but always quite busy. Perhaps because it is well run and popular. Has an excellent selection of prepared hot food dishes, and a variety of breads. My impression is that prices are slightly higher than some of the other large food outlets, especially the meat. I'm not sure if each store owner has the freedom to offer items at 'special' prices, but I don't shop here often enough to notice. I do know of other Spar stores which often offer products at discounted prices. It is conveniently situated for a quick drop in en route, so I do not generally shop for groceries. It is still one of my favorite Spar stores

Small enough for a quick visit but big enough to have everything you need! Frechly baked hot chocolate croissants over the week-end available just after 9am became a tradition!

Always a pleasure to shop there. Fresh and good quality bread and delicious croissants a favourite and often one finds hard to find spices and herbs on their shelves. Staff always helpful and friendly..
