Hand In Hand has a track record in helping the poor to help themselves. Through our model, we have successfully implemented poverty alleviation programmes in poor communities.
Our model focusses on:
Social Mobilisation:
Supporting the formation of Self Help Groups (SHG’s), particularly among marginalised and poor communities, training them on financial literacy and savings
Enterprise Development Training:
We have an accredited Enterprise Development Training programme which focusses on all steps to business development
Access to finance:
Facilitating access to finance either via internal lending within the SHG or through partners
Value addition & Market linkage :
Offering additional support to our beneficiaries to help grow their enterprises.
This can involve specific skills livelihood training, or assisting with accessing markets.
To eradicate poverty amongst the underprivileged with the focus on income generation through capacity building and empowerment.
