shipped to me. They arrived in used condition. They had blue marker on the white leather, hair on them and the soles have likely been worn outside. Minimally but still in used condition. I contacted them and they said I could ship them back at my cost and be reimbursed or I could get 20% off. Both of these are probably fair but a hassle none the less. I’m disappointed they shipped me shoes in this condition and would not recommend buying anything from them online since you can’t see what they’re going to send.
We absolutely LOVE Harry's Shoes on Broadway! The most amazing shoe selection anywhere! It's our "go to" place for top quality footwear. Staff knows their merchandise. I had a problem with one pair of Ara shoes and all it took was the manager Charlie to step in and resolve the issue to my total satisfaction. Way to go Charlie! Many thanks for your ability to keep a loyal customer smiling on the way out AND happy to return another time. Kudos!!
Stay away from this store. I visited in late December 2022. I tried to purchase a pair of shoes, but when I went to pay, their computer system crashed and they couldn't take payments. I left empty-handed, but checked my bank account to find the cost of the shoes $245.02 was pending on my card. I walked back inside and told an employee about it, but she said "it'll drop off" since their system was down. But several days later, the charge posted anyway: I was being charged for shoes I didn't possess. I called the store, and an employee told me to come in the next week when their accounting team was back from the New Year holiday, which I did. However, the accounting team checked their books and claimed to not have my purchase on record. So, essentially, they told me it was my problem to solve through my bank. The closest thing I got to an apology from the employee was "sorry if you feel this is putting you out, but it's just a phone call to your bank." I called my bank and initiated a dispute for the charge. Cut to February 2023: I received an email from my bank that I needed to respond to new information provided by the vendor. Harry's or their bank had submitted a photocopy of a receipt showing a purchase of $245.02, the same amount I'd tried to spend there in December. But the receipt was clearly for another customer someone named Marie, with a credit card number which didn't match mine. Had I not checked the dispute, the case would have been closed and I would have been charged the full amount. Now, I trust the people at Harry's are intelligent. Surely they didn't think that receipt was mine. So my only conclusion is that they submitted the receipt in the hopes that I wouldn't follow up, and I'd get charged for the shoes. From top to bottom, my experience with Harry's has been a sickening disappointment. What a miserable, greedy, conniving enterprise. I strongly encourage anyone considering shopping there to move along. There are better shoe stores in New York, and any of them deserve your business more than Harry's.
Johanna Joann are great and very helpful. This is a 3rd generation store and a great one!
The manager who would not introduce himself couldn’t be ruder or more confrontational. I had not seen him there before but clearly he wasn’t interested In customer care and service. He is most unprofessional and rude. My husband and I have shopped at Harry’s Shoes for decades. But, no more! as the quality of service and customer care has really takes a dive.
Bought my shoes. Guy with mustache was a rude and was sitting down, wouldn’t help me but immediately helped others when they walked in. He was using the north most cash register to check out 5/28 at around 4:00PM. Made the experience awful.
This is a huge shop with a great selection of shoes across a ton of different brands. I had been searching for a specific Canadian brand and this was there only retailer in the city. I would definitely come back after seeing the variety they offer. The store is large and, at least when I went, was very busy. In my one experience there were many people waiting around trying to get help and, especially in the back half of the store, people seemed to be overlooked.
Ordered a pair of boots that showed an "in stock" status on April 18; received an email on April 26 that my purchase was being refunded. Went back to check the website and that entire boot style was no longer listed.
I went to buy shoes here because they normally carry a large selection. I saw a salesman and I asked for help. Right away, I noticed he was not very nice and I wanted to find someone else but I did not. I bought two pairs of shoes for my partner first, then I asked for some shoes for myself. I tried three pairs of the same shoe model but they did not fit me. I walked around and picked up another model, I tried two sizes but they didn’t fit me either. When I brought a third model, the nasty salesman told me to go get all the models I want at once because he did not have all afternoon to go back and for from the storage room to the store front. He was very mad at me for making him go to look for the shoes I wanted. I almost left the store that very moment. I only stayed because I was traveling and needed the shoes right away. Fortunately, the third model did fit fine, so I took it an left. That salesman should find another type of work. People can’t buy the first pair of shoes they try if they don’t fit. This store needs patient sales people not nasty impatient guys like the one I had.
This store is a complete rip off. They are more than happy to sell you shoes but good luck trying to return them. I was sold the wrong size shoe, the manager insisted the 9.5 is really a size 9. I buy them and their too big. I check the manufacture’s site and sure enough they do sell a size 9. When I return them the mgr insists until I show her the web site, it’s the right size. Then says “if the shoe fits”. Well they didn’t fit and she refused to refund the money.. so now I have a credit to this rip off store
