Hartleyvale Stadium is a field hockey stadium in Observatory, Cape Town, South Africa. Previously used as a soccer stadium by Cape Town City in the National Football League era. Also Hellenic used it during the late eighties. It is currently a hockey stadium, with smaller fields nearby still used for soccer by local amateur club sides.

This is a pretty excellent venue for hockey as it's centrally located and has top-class facilities. One can imagine that venues such as this contributed to the international ranking of 14 for SA men's hockey making them the top-ranked African team though they have some way to catch top ranked Australia, Belgium and Germany. Still, the layout is good, the access points are secure, and the stadium lighting is top-class. Parking could be better, but it is stuck between the river and housing, which makes that difficult.

If you have the time, go watch the World Masters Hockey Tournament at Hartleyvale. Ends 10.10.22.
We had knocked out semi final we lost but we had a great time clean facilities amazing lighting it was close to daylight kick off was 7;30. The boys had some great fun. Felt like a real pro match taking place.
Fantastic facilities, couldn't find medics when I needed them, otherwise it would be five stars. The bar was big, they have three cricket pitches, two astro pitches, a swimming pool and squash courts. Great venue.
Loved watching the World Hockey Masters Tournament at this incredible venue!
Management is bad, how can they allow the emergence alarm to go off every time loadshedding happens. It is so loud and affects the whole area. Fix your alarms system. This has happened over and over now.

Best hockey astro There is a A ASTRO WHICH is in front of the massive pavilion then there is a b Astro also just next to it walking distance Iets close to the hotel we walk every day to the astro without any stress Nice clean bathroom They have 'n tuck shop there that is really nice and have all kinda food and sweets They not expensive The astro iets self is amazing taking good care of it There is also a lot of parking so no need to warry about it Definitely the best astro ever
