Helpmekaar came highly recommended by 2 friends who made use of their services. Unfortunately I did not have a great experience at all. I was not given the option of an open casket, although I took clothes to be put on my sister. I requested a piece of my sister's hair which I never received. I had to phone a month after my sister's service to enquire about her ashes. When I discussed my issues with Danie, he just offered excuses - never manning up to dropping the ball with my sister. I'm very dissatisfied with the service and the overall experience. I would have appreciated an apology instead of a lot of lame excuses.

One can feel the care and consideration you need during a fragile and testing time. Loosing a loved one is never easy, but with a caring team taking lead in giving direction to what is needed for the funeral while considering a limited budget, brought calm and ease of mind. We can highly recommend that you contact them the next time there is a death in the family!

Excellent service and affordable funeral services from Helpmekaar/Thusanang. Mr Kemp and his staff were very professional, caring and compassionate. They took al the arrangement stress of our hands and helped us so nicely. They are awesome people to know in a time of need. Will always recommend them. They did funerals of 3 of our family members.
