"Highgate Wine Estate in the KZN Midlands grows and produces its own wines on this beautiful farm and residential estate.The Estate offers a Tasting Room where you can experience a Wine Tasting R120 accompanied by a Cheese and Charcuterie Board.For a fuller experience book at for the Restaurant side and enjoy starters, mains and desserts from our al la carte menu - why not also enjoy a wine tasting with your meal, or a bottle of wine that you love.We are open on Friday, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.11am to 5pm, expect Sundays we close at 4pm.For special functions, events or weddings we can discuss alternative open days.Please email [email protected]"

This place is nice for chilling and relaxing. My brother and I enjoyed being in this place. Their presentation of their wine cellars,umbrellas just invites you more to various sections of this wine estate
Excellent art exhibition tastefully curated by Christopher Till. Beautiful setting in Highgate Wine Estate in the Midlands. Well worth a visit.
It was enjoyable,clean but not private enough for our family celebration that we had, due to other people who kept on passing by the venue we used going to toilets. That so distractive. There were no tap water jugs on the tables. We should have bought and provided ourselves. I enjoyed the food I ordered but other family members had a problem with lamb, it was hard according to them. Overall it's beautiful place and nice environment away from the city.
One of the most beautiful boutique wine estate to that I have visited. The service was absolutely outstanding! On arrival we were greeted by the most gracious lady by the name of Tyler and her beautiful team of ladies. I must applause them on their knowledge of their in house wines and history of the farm. Exceptional service and great wine. Definitely will visit again.
The wines were okay and not too bad at all. Food was absolutely amazing. Overall ambiance, I enjoyed and absolutely loved this place how I wish they had b&b. The staff was amazing, very efficient and friendly.
The worst rotten lamb that they served me is really not what one would like to pay for. The smell, taste and everything of it was different to the one my colleague ordered. I wouldn't recommend the same meal to anyone else.
We were warmely welcomed by the staff. The food is absolutely amazing. The wine is also very very good. A must for anyone whom enjoys good wine and food and a place with a very nice, relaxed ambience. We will surely be back. Thank you Highgate Wine Estate.
Absolutely amazing place! Came here for my birthday. Had a great time. Tom the wine maker here, took me for a vineyard tour, really insightful tour. Had a wine tasting session, served me 4 different wines and gave deep insight into the wine making process and the wines themselves. Their restaurant, MENU, is also great for hosting parties, baby showers, bridal showers ect. Great wedding venue too . Overall great place. Give them a visit, thank me later
Visited twice, 4 months apart, and on both occasions, was unlucky to not be able to do a wine tasting, due to the ban on alcohol. I did tour the vineyard and cellar - Thornton, a super cool guy, was very informative and taught us quite a lot about the farming and winemaking process. The restaurant is fine and offers good service in a lovely setting. I recommend!
Second visit : staff is very unfriendly, the Tip is included in your final bill so the staffwaitress doesn't have to go the extra mile or even do the bare minimum because they will get tipped regardless. On the Bright side : great meal & good wine.
