Hippo River Lodge Witbank

A great place to relax from a long day on the road. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The venue caters well to large groups and has amenities to host a large event such as a wedding. The restaurant serves good food and overall this place offers good value for money.

Awesome place. A lot of old and new design. Good food and friendly staff. Directions can get a bit tricky. Great for morning coffee and breakfast

When you have a valid complaint and the so called manager, name starts with A. I Can't and don't want to remember it, gives you an attitude in front of your guests and they are horrified. Then you know the manageress should LEARN from the restaurant staff who were impeccable. SHOCKING and she goes off how fantastic she and the lodge is. And all about the overseas visitors, that are obviously used to nothing. Please bare in mind we contribute to your salary, that you don't deserve. Checking in was tedious as not all.got to sign the terms and conditions, the gentleman's mind was all over the place. NEVER TO RETURN. SHOCKING AND REPULSIVE.

Very nice place...enjoyed a very special wedding there this weekend! Food was awesome...very friendly staff members and nice clean well equipped room! Beautiful place!

Very nice place, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff are on the ball, tirelessly moving up and down amongst the tables taking away bottles and dirty glasses etc. The venue itself is very pretty too.

Cockroaches all over. Had to continuously spray Doom which triggered my allergies. Bedding had a weird smell which made me wonder how often it gets changed / washed. Shower head broke whilst I was taking a shower. Pity because it's such a pretty place but poorly maintained by the look of things.

Very peaceful and beautiful restaurant and surroundings! Food is marvelous! Service is good but there is room for improvement. Will definitely visit again!

A lovely place to go to with the kids. Great play area. A little slow with service but leaves you with an overall feeling of going back..

Food was alright. The service was terriblely slow, we had a reservation for 12,, only got our food at 2pm. Then we' wanted to order dessert, the kitchen had closed at 2pm.

I booked a room for my Employer at Hippo River Lodge for a business trip. Charlotte, Maryke and rest of the staff treats you with such kindness, very helpful and professionalism. Definitely the place to stay in Witbank. Thank you all so much! Corona Financial Services. Bethlehem FS.
