Hoërskool Brackenfell High

I went here for all five years of high school, received my NSC last year and I definitely did not have a great experience here. Personally I feel like the atmosphere among peers was hostile, the faculty favoured the E1 and A1 classes over the rest of the grade and the academic competitiveness did not foster emotional or social progress. Additionally, I got the feeling that faculty were not very progressive in sensitive situations that broke out among pupils or didn't handle confrontations well. The whole time it felt more like a punishment than recieving an education attending this school. Otherwise the grounds are lovely, the school put a lot of effort into making the foyer and bathrooms beautiful as well as maintaining all the buildings on site. Just wish there was more of a friendly and calm environment when I attended. But this is all just my opinion.

Great school, with loads of activities to keep any child occupied...

Went to Brackenfell High School this weekend to watch the clash between the two schools. Interschools was quite interesting to watch to say the least. BUT and I'm saying this with a sore heart I can't believe the disrespect and vulgar use of words these children have. Their sports aren't bad and I could see that they do put effort in their training, but teaching the kids to hurt other to gain the upper hand is what I least expected! I've been watching Brackenfell play rugby for years. Either the coaches needs to reconsider their mandates when it comes teaching the children how to play the sport or they should be totally stopped from competing! Many children from the opposite team that was severely hurt. There was this one game I watched where they deliberately kicked the kid in face and it seems like broke his jaw. Honestly now! What nonsense is this?

Very nice school. Really care about the kind of education they deliver.

My Daughter goes to this school, good school but I stopped attending meetings because they were in Afrikaans

My younger brothers played rugby there on saterday school is well maintained and great facilities
