Hoërskool Oosterlig is ‘n Afrikaans – Medium sekondêre skool onder beheer van die GDO. Onder ons huidige naam is ons ‘n relatief jong skool, maar ons het tog ‘n trotse en roemryke geskiedenis.

Die skool se leuse: Carpe Diem. Dit beteken pluk die dag, met ander woorde, maak die beste gebruik van elke geleentheid wat op jou pad mag kom.

Ons wil elke leerling en ouer op hierdie wyse hartlik in ons groep verwelkom. Mag u verblyf by ons baie aangenaam wees.

Elke leerling word aangemoedig om die tradisies van die skool, waaraan jy tog help bou, te leer ken. Op hierdie wyse sal jy gou deur die leerlinge aanvaar word. Probeer ook aktief deel word van die skool deur aan aktiwiteite deel te neem en funksies by te woon.

One of the best Afrikaans high schools in the East Rand. They have some 15 school busses that bring Learners from as far as Kempton Park. The principal, Mr. Nel does not take kind to bullying and smoking. Loadshedding is not a problem for the school has a complete Solar-Inverter system.
