Howdens Florist

Sorry, but I spent R950 on a bouquet for a special friend's mum's funeral and paid R950 and was expecting roses and lilies but my friend received this!!! I am from the UK so have a feel I was being done....! Can anyone else tell me if this is a fair delivery? I was told there would be a cost of R200 for the vase alone so needed to top up to get the lovely floral display I wanted. Odd that within 1.5hrs of my call to the florist this was delivered i.e. nothing special done as discussed but got rid of what they needed to get rid of???

Terrible, unprofessional, incompetent. The OWNER lied to me twice on the phone while I was forced to make 3 international phone calls to follow up. They mixed up my order. I asked them to correct THEIR mistake by delivering the correct item and to NOT TAKE BACK something from a new mum and baby. I was lied to be the OWNER that she would fix HER MISTAKE which was a small cost compared to the over R1000 I was paying. They meanly and in a petty manner TOOK BACK their incorrect delivery and embarrassed themselves and me. DO NOT USE. Order instead from SAFLORIST for fully professional and competent service. No international calls necessary!

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, lovely shop. I phoned Howdens from UK as wanted flowers sent to someone in Durban. Found a bouquet I wanted on their website. Paid by credit card. The person receiving the flowers loved them. Thank you Howdens. Will be ordering again for Christmas.

Any order under R250 to be collected in store. So in other words if a person spends the little money they have they don't deserve for it to be delivered?? What is the point of you being a florist if you won't deliver your products no matter how mych it costs?
