Typical Car rental. Charged us twice for an additional day. Charged us again for a different drop off location, although we had paid for it in our original booking. Initial Booking cost $163CAD, after adding an additional day and driver, we were charge $498CAD. Of course no one answers or is available when trying to investigate. None of the number work. We have tried them all. AVOID. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Not recommended car rental. Took insurance on wheel damage, spare wheel got stollen and now I need to pay for the rim and as only the tire is under insurance. Waiting 21 working days for deposit, and was told I need to wait another 7 working days and still no claim amounts was discussed with me.
Absolutely useless. Cannot even begin to express enough how much I recommend you use anyone else other than them.
Shocking experience with Europcar in South Africa. They took an actual payment from our card for the security deposit rather than just an authorisation. Still haven’t received a final receipt, have been charged an extra day although the car was returned on time, and other mysterious payments have been taken. Terrible experience.
I have been a regular Europcar customer for a few years, renting from Europcar and Tempest at least twice a month for a few days each time. My recent negative experience, particularly the apathy of their "customer service manager" which I'll describe below has led me to decide to move to one of their competitors. Out of the last 5 rentals, there has been incorrect billing on three of them. My rental is paid up front with a voucher that clearly states the number of days, but Europcar staff somehow feel the freedom to ignore this and charge extra days. When this is brought to their attention they repay the money, but somehow contrive to spin this process out for up to 10 working days. No sense of urgency to correct their mistake. Most recently, I returned a car within the two day time-frame that I had paid for. I handed the keys to the attendant. When I received the invoice an incorrect return time had been recorded and I had been charged for a full extra day. Fortunately I had a receipt from a coffee shop on the other side of airport security, timestamped well before the time I supposedly returned my car - and had boarded the flight before this time.
Never been spoken to so rudely by a customer service agent- My car was just dropped off by the panel beater and I was on the way to work at 11am - This agent demands I bring the car before 12 or else I will be paying for it. How can I just drop everything to bring the car back? He never asked when is a convenient time for me to bring it back,he just kept talking over me and raising his voice! Truly pathetic service by Europcar!
This company is the worst ever don’t ever rent a car here they are thief’s seens I rented a car June 3rd 2022 for 3 days took it back till today I hv not received my deposit wn I call head office they make me a fool jumping up n down the branch in Bloemfontein stuff useless like their head office no customer service nothing so people don’t ever use this company I do not rate or recommend it to anyone they even ignore emails of the complaint thief’s scam ppl money
Be careful FRAUD! Don't!!!!! We had an Europcar rental car for 3 weeks in South africa. After the return several amounts of money are debited without invoice and without authorization. Requests will be ignored. To date no clarification.
This is without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. They have decided to keep debiting my credit card at random. Try and speak to customer services and nothing! Avoid this company at all costs! No stars.
