Impolo Self Catering Apartment

The place was adequate. There were things damaged in the apartment like the couch which was very uncomfortable in our unit, washing machine and the microwave was on but did not warm anything no matter how long we tried to put our food in. The person who assisted us with checking in and out was super friendly. Parking was awkward but manageable. Location was great, very close to Summerstrand and the city. But the surroundings weren't great. Safety is questionable. The place was not as clean as I'd have liked. The floors ans surfaces were wiped down but the shower floors were dirty, inside the cupboards were dirty, there were marks on the bedding, the shower drain was blocked and the glasses provided were dirty as well. Our unit was adjacent to where the garbage was disposed of and a drain right across from it which smelled terrible. It was a last minute booking and there weren't many other places available, however I would not necessarily recommend.

I have recently booked at Impolo Apartments and it is my second time, I went back because I had a vivid yet pleasant memory from my first experience. Unfortunately this second time wasn’t so pleasant as a lot has changed. I also have raised a complaint about how we are forced to pay a 500 rand deposit at checkin and are told we’d be given the money back at checkout and it’s been 3 weeks and I am still waiting to get the money back. It’s said that that 500 rand deposit made excluding the booking fee is made is case we break or damage anything. My partner and I didn’t damage anything at the property and we’ve been robbed. I don’t recommend this place because even though the apartments are aesthetically pleasing there’s a lot of necessary little details that ruin your stay for example the location as well as availed utensils and the inconsistency of the cleaning staff during your stay or being provided things to clean during your stay. It isn’t worth the price and they daylight robbery. I want my money back. I am not gonna let this go chile, I’ve been far too patient.

Very nice & lovely, friendly house keeping staff.We stayed for 4 nights with my family & loved it though we wished they could add a few small things to make the guests' stay more pleasant.Things like a broom,since we stayed 4nights &had kids so the house got dirty really quickly & wanted to just sweep the 2nd day but there was no broom.They only cleaned on the 3rd day so we had no choice but to stay in the dirty house & that was a bit of a turn off coz it doesn't happen in our own house.There were no floor mats in the shower/toilet,we had to be very careful as to not slide everytime we took a shower, they only put the mat on the 3rd day.Having a few salt sachets &a little dishwashing liquid in the kitchen would be so convenient especially if guests are staying more than one night.We loved staying there & felt safe but just because of those few things we felt it would have been better had we split the 4 nights & stayed in different places.
