Institute of Management Accounting and Strategy is a professional accountancy learning institute, specializing in CIMA and ACCA.
The Institute of Management Accounting and Strategy was founded in January 2013 by Nathi Thela as an institution that will provide full time tuition for the CIMA syllabus mainly to post matric student.
The need for the establishment of an institution like this was inspired by the National Development Plan (NDP), which articulate the need to broaden access to education to the youth of South Africa.
Secondly, we were inspired by the shortage of capacity in public institutions of higher learning and training to accommodate all the learners who pass matric in South Africa.
Therefore IMAS has partnered with CIMA to deliver fulltime tuition to students in South Africa who are interested in studying towards the CIMA syllabus on a full time basis.
Our first Campus will be located in Witbank. More on the Campus and application process will be available in the middle of May.

Institute of Management Accounting and Strategy began its classes in July 2013. The CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting is offered both full-time and part-time.
The CIMA Professional Qualification which has the following stages:
* Operational Level = CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting
* Managerial Level = CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting
* Strategic Level = which will lead to you writing the CIMA T4 Exam(Professional Competence Level). And Upon passing this level and obtaining the relevant experience, you will achieve your ACMA & CGMA status.
is offered part-time through evening and weekend classes. Whilst we will offer the CIMA Professional Qualification on a full-time basis from 2015.
