You will need to visit the tourist centre first before going to the battle ground. It will give you an understanding of what happened by the time you get to the ground. Going with a guide could be advantageous.

Signboards are missing. Very bad gravel road. You first have to go and report at visitors centre. Not worth all the trouble to get there

Experience a deep insight of Anglo Zulu war area under historical mountain of Isandlwana with great mountain view from different sites such as KwaNyoni which gives you great view of the mountain, Battlefield and surrounding areas

A poignant & thought provoking place. Our guide Brian gave an excellent interpretation of the encounter & how the battle unfolded with such a large loos of life in a short space of time. There are small whitewashed stone pyramids across the battlefield signifying mass graves, also cenotaphs & memorials for the British soldiers killed here. The Zulu dead have their own memorial in bronze the shape of a traditional Zulu necklace. A knowledgeable guide is a must to get the full story of this fateful day.

I am really disappointed in this place. Had to travel on a gravel road, no signs to point out the place, had to ask locals for directions. This place need to be promoted properly.

I believe every person has to come over here for our beautiful history,too bad we got here late and tired we couldn’t go inside the museum,the entrance fee is R30+- there’s a lot to see

Amazing historical place, I remember I went there while i was in primary I had a great experience.

Good place full of South Africa history.

It is a national treasure. Beautiful scenery and history.
