The receiving lady at the door is a superstar...me and my person went to get takeaways... She's a great team member to the JD's team. Her name is Florence.

Today I ordered the 12 JD prawn special for R129. The meal was exceptional. The prawns were basted in shellfish basting. The size was good, the shell came off easily, the flesh was firm and they were exactly like the LM prawns of old! The waitress, Rose, was efficient, very pleasant and professional. Gail, the manager was also very professional and helpful. The meal was indeed a bargain for the price. Well done John Dory's!!

Stopped by for dinner after work in town. Very friendly service & an attentive waitress. The food was good - as expected. The restaurant is clean and you won't make a mistake to visit. I will remember this one on a next visit to Klerksdorp.Food: 4/5

Lovely meal this evening. Great prawns. Phumla assisted us and she was very attentive and friendly.

Before the upgrade the experience was not good. With the upgrade the experience was excellent. Warm and welcome atmosphere. Only comment is on the malva & milktart pudding. The combination does not work well. Rather serve it seperately.

The Food Sushi and waiting period were exceptionally sub-par. We ordered telephonically and were told the order would take 40min. We arrived an hour after calling and still waited another 20min. to receive our order. The rice on the sushi was hard, and the portions were on average 1cm thin and falling apart. This after offering the restaurant the benefit of the doubt multiple times. Definitely room for improvement.

Very friendly and good food.

This used to be a great restaurant. Not any more. We waited endlessly and then the mains arrived before the starters. No sign of the waitress. Food is good but service is pathetic to non existent. Will sadly never go back.
