John Dorys Fish, Grill, Sushi - Mimosa Mall

What a lovely experience. We visited my daughter who lives in Bloemfontein and came to eat at John Dory’s. I’ve eaten at quite a few other branches and I have to say that this is one of the best meals I had ant their franchise Everything was made to perfection and was perfectly garnished. What a pleasant surprise! I went to get a bite to eat, with high hopes but little expectation to be satisfied in my quest to get some good sushi. The chef on the attached pic did a sterling job and worked tirelessly to produce dish after dish for over an hour until I left. I got to sample some of those dishes and they did not disappoint. The service from staff, although they were very busy was excellent. I will definately visit the Sushi bar again.

I always get excellent service from their wonderful staff. The food is to die for. You honestly can never go wrong with choosing this restaurant. This is my favourite seafood place.

This place is definitely in the top 3 sushi places in Bloemfontein for me. I was with on of my female friends and when we got our sushi, we saw that on the platter, in the middle, there was a subtle heart. We're not dating, but still an admirable feature and a quality effort in "the small things". Really made my day Vegetarian options: A large amount of their sushi has vegetarian or vegan options, perfect for anybody in those dietary fields Kid-friendliness: All of their items have some type of visual representation so that kids and others don't have to think too much

I had fantastic day with my fiancee the service was so amazing infact "on Point"& also the food was soo delicious....i thank the chef whos behind making sure that the prawns & ysters are well done!!!!

Really disappointed in this branch. I ordered take-away sushi and when I opened the tray I was overwhelmed with the smell of rotten fish. Had to drive back to John Dory’s to show the manager that the sushi was rotten. She was not very apologetic and simply said that this happens. For a place that specializes in fish dishes, this should not be happening. I was partially refunded, but it was sad to see the lack of accountability from the manager or the person who prepared the sushi.

Food was ok, Staff friendly and smiling. Great to see they using paper straws. Wifi not good at all! I asked to have only calamari heads and not tubes and manager refused! Not a great explanation! When I asked for spinach they didn’t ask me which type and I thought it will be creamy spinach and it was sole spinach and I didn’t like it!

Worst experience in a long time. Can not recommend it at all. Bad service and management. Left before we could get our food
