Kempton Park Shoprite

One thing about me? I understand the concept exceptional & outstanding customer service cos i work with people as well. I've been to countless Shoprite stores and i've received the most basic customer service, which i still appreciate. The employees at Shoprite in Kempton park, Central Ave don't have the most basic skills of customer service- greeting firstly. I get that nobody owes anyone a greeting but if you're at work and a customer approaches you, it's actually a requirement to greet/ greet back. Secondly, i wanted to withdraw money using Mukuru services. Now instead of politely advising that there's no money at the moment & that i should try come back later, the ladies made little remarks in vernac basically initiating that it's impossible for me to ask for such a huge amount at this hour. The lady then said they don't have THAT money, and carried on with the conversation she was having with her colleague. I tried asking if this means i should come back later or in an hour or so- basically coming up with solutions, but they blatenly ignored me & continued with their chit chat. I'm not so concerned that they did that to me, but i could've been anyone really. Like the franchise owner or one of the shareholder's daughter or whatever, and i wouldn't be proud to have someone working in my company with that kind of behaviour, it's absurd & unacceptable. So to cut the long story short, i did not appreciate the service i got & i do not see myself visiting the store ever again, no matter how stranded i am. I also wouldn't recommend it either.

Basic grocery such as staples is affordable. Customers who are making withdrawals also gets assistance even with small amounts. If you don't get the service you need just smile and never allow your day spoiled. It's one of those days but no the end of your life.

Usually there is a shortage of shopping carts, the queues are long.

Everytime we go to buy food for lunch there is always a problem it becomes worse each and everytime. Today we waited 15 minutes before we were attended and that's not because the kitchen was full it was very empty compared to pick n pay we were the only contomers while they were looking at us conversing laughing out loud not even asking if we needed any help as if we don't have a choice while there is pickn pay this is so irritating I even hate going there.

Excellent shopping experience I had.

I just popped in for fresh onions. I was blown away with their fresh produce. Very fresh, neatly packed, very good deals. Clean store. I will definitely travel the distance to do my fresh produce shopping there. Thank-you very much for the lovely experience.

Bad experience, queue was slow, was told that no one has knowledge on the item I wanted to buy ended up calling another store for assistance. And they advised me accordingly. Lady by the till had no customer care at all.

Didn't have a problem with buying but always having a problem with taking my things to the car with a trolley. The guys at the door are so scary and I ask myself why does this shoprite allow such a chaos. I was supposed to pay someone for a trolley to a car parked next to the door. It's the only shop that hires trolleys to go outside.
