Cute and cozy restaurant in the v&a waterfront. We had the 12 oysters at half price when you get a bottle of wine/champagne. The oysters were very fresh and delicious! Also enjoyed the calamari and lime fish served with rice. Overall great service and good quality of food, definitely a nice lunch spot when you are in the area :
Food was delicious, the oysters were so fresh and wonderfully tasty! The fish in the sushi was fab as well, as was the kingklip and fried squid. They had a promotion on if you bought a bottle of wine, the oysters would be half off. I wish it was facing the water, since it’s super fresh and super tasty seafood, but we were pretty busy enjoying the food to notice anything outside the window anyway.
I got the opportunity to dine here during my latest visit to Capetown. Tasting Oysters is a must for me, every time I am in Capetown. So, during my visit to the Browns store at the waterfront, I asked the lady working in Browns to recommend me to a nice oysters place. And, she highly recommended Knysna Oysters Company. Based on the recommendation, I tried the place. And, oh boy! I am glad I did. Great food, and great service, with an amazing view. I was all by myself and missed my partner, but the food didn't make me feel lonely. I enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommended!
Absolutely fantastic dining experience. We were a party of 15, and we were all well-taken care of from the moment we arrived. Andile, our waitor, was knowledgeable and able to explain the menu and make good recommendations regarding both food and wine. He was attentive and made sure our glasses were always full. I had the cocktail oysters which were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The tempura crunch rolls were absolutely out-of-this-world and I will be returning just to enjoy them again! The fried hake was so fresh, and it just melted in my mouth! I have never tasted such fresh seafood in the Cape Town area, I am so impressed. Gavin, the owner I believe, was present and visible at all times. He checked in with us and I noticed him checking in on other patrons throughout the evening. He was pleasant to chat with, with a good sense of humour! I really hope to visit again soon for some sushi and bubbles!
This was my first time here. We sat outside and basked in the Winter sun. We were served by a very nice lady. Was, however, disappointed that they were out of stock of the giant oysters and only medium was available, which looked really small for a medium size. Will be back though to explore their menu.Food: 3/5
Fantastic service from Andile and absolutely delicious and flavourful food! Portions are generous and the fish was so fresh and tasty. Enjoyed each and every dish from Tempura Prawns as starters, the Hake & Calamari Combo as main and Chocolate Fondant for dessert. No complaints and can't wait to visit again!
I had found out about the new Knysna Oyster Company restaurant through the Cape Town eats group. I went there for oysters as I absolutely love oysters. I ordered the medium oysters and they were delicious and served with mignonette and a decent size. I was browsing through the menu and read about the wagyu beef burger. Being at a seafood restaurant I was reluctant to order a beef burger. But I’m so glad I did as it was one of the most delicious burgers I’ve ever eaten. It was a juicy cheese burger with tomatoes and pickles and they brought me a side of aioli to add on. I also asked for a salad instead of fries and it was a Greek salad with a beautiful dressing. I was really impressed and staff were so friendly. Highly recommend!!
Wonderful oysters and seafood here! OMG, wish we were there right now for those oysters. Wow. And the wait staff were also very friendly. Thank you!
Amazing service, good quality and price ratio, freshly caught seafood, cozy place to dine in. 100% recommend. Besides the delicious food, the cocktails were delicious. Pro tip: come earlier than 8pm to secure yourself some fresh shrimps
Oysters were out of this world! Deligthful dozen is the best starter! Mussels, prawns, sushi, you name it and it will explode your taste buds!Food: 5/5
