I really enjoyed my visit here. I did not eat, but the food I saw looked amazing. If I lived closer, it would be my hangout joint.Service: 5/5
This place has gone from strength to strength under different management. It has SO MUCH POTENTIAL to be more than it currently is but it needs somebody to give it that love. I don't feel the current management has done, or is doing that. If I could afford to buy the place and give it the love it deserves, I would. It's a sprawling property with ample space for great events. There's a little stage for bands and musicians and a great fireplace for the winter months. It's pet-friendly and a good few dog lovers bring their furry friends round for their afternoon pint. The atmosphere is relaxed and family oriented. The menu pricing seems to have gone up since the last time I was there but the food is still good so it's mostly a fair wager. There's a jungle gym for bigger kids and a little kiddie area for toddlers. There is also two trampolines and a sandy area for kids to play. The bathrooms are clean and decent but could also use just that little bit of extra warmth. The interior is saved for the non-smokers and decorated with positive affirmations like "friends" and "fun". It's cute but the place could use a lot more homeliness. There's potential for quirky gadgets, flags, music regalia and oddities that I believe would attract a lot more people here. The waiters and waitresses were alright but seemed tired and bored. For these reasons I've rated it 3 stars but it has the potential to rise to 5 with the right humans taking care of it.
It's a great place to go to with your family and your furry friends. Food is good and the atmosphere is great, but it's the crowd that you will meet the real deal here, all pet lovers and friendly people.Food: 4/5
Great food & service but unfortunately the pub seems to have lost some of the good vibes of the past.Food: 5/5
Didn't eat there but enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and the locals made me feel welcomeService: 5/5
I have no words to describe just how awful this breakfast was. No bacon, no tomato, no mushrooms no white bread and no butter. Instead they served is fried ham, sliced cucumber, onion rings and I think there was a chicken strip thrown in with it.Food: 1/5
Been a couple of times in the last month, average food, average service, general feeling is that it is run down and typical "dodgy pub".
It's OK but pretty basic. However, R180 for a R60 bottle of wine is outrageous. Over priced.Food: 3/5
Food takes so long it is delivered cold if at allFood: 1/5
Laid back and rustic. Service is good and so are there loaded chips with cheese sauce and bacon bits. Huge portions. Will definitely be back.
