We propose a wide range of flavors, divided in cremes all gluten free except for cookies&cream and sorbet all gluten free&vegan. Woaw a place that gives Paul’s Ice cream a good run for the ice cream race. I always see signs that say hand crafted this or that , as a willing recipient to try all things I decided to try the sugar cones that said hand crafted , I must say as a South African citizen used to machine made sugar cones this was a new taste yet one I knew needs time to get used to. I had the Rosa ice cream and man was it delicious sweet and fresh , and 1 scoop is like 1 giant SCOOP . Friendly happy staff I’ll surely be passing this place when I come to the square.
Disappointing. Pictures looked great but staff are terribly unfriendly and unhelpful. They seemed quite apathetic with no interest in greeting or serving customers. They seemed happier leaning against the counters. There is no menu board and when asked questions about what's on offer, the staff offer one-word answers. "Do you make Sundaes?" "No" When making payment, she held out the card machine without actually telling us the total, prices aren't listed anywhere. No big deal, you can just ask her to tilt the screen towards you, so you can see a number - but I'd rather not have to do that. As soon as it beeped after my tap payment, her first words were "next customer!" Yelled over our heads. No 'thank you' or 'enjoy.' We opted for vanilla. The ice cream itself was creamy and textured beautifully, unfortunately the flavour was just like one of tubs you could pull out of a supermarket freezer. Very similar to Ola's offerings. At R47 for a single scoop, it really wasn't worth it.
Very good gelateria with 2 shops. One in Melrose and this one in Dainfern. They have expanded their shop and have a lot of chairs now. I went there on a very hot afternoon during load shedding and they were quite busy. They have a wide variety of interesting flavours. Including strawberry and cream, watermelon and all the classics as well. Portion sizes are very big. I ordered a medium cup and couldn’t finish half of it. Taste- Depending on flavour and personal preference 7/10 Ambience- Good if you’re sitting outside 8/10 Value for Money- 8/10
Delicious ice cream, a good variety and well priced. I wouldn't recommend the brownies. Only thing they need to improve is their staff. They are not very friendly and welcoming. They seem miserable and unhappy and this is clearly evident when they serve you.
La Cremosa is a real taste of Italy from the quaint European style setting to the absolutely devine gelato and other desserts. The quality and authenticity of the food is unmatched and is a must-have treat if you have a sweet tooth for Italian desserts. The service is excellent and the two Italian guys that own the restaurant really go the extra mile! Well Done La Cremosa!
The one stop shop for indecision and incredible gelato ice cream. Luckily their large size cup holds up to five flavours. Their menu is apparently a big secret, I didn't know they had anything except ice cream scoops till I was waiting for my ice cream and looked around the shop to see a tiny menu. So do check that out, waffles and more ice cream concoctions. As far as their flavours go, there is more flavour than sweet for the most part, you'll even see them making ice cream in the back. Pistachio, chocolate, coconut, mango sorbet, they're all absolute winners and definitely beats out most ice cream places in Joburg. Sit down and you might even hear some Italian conversations, some even say that this gelato tastes good enough to be in Italy. So for your post-shopping, post-workout, or casual trip to the mall, or even just a mild case of wanderlust, La Cremosa has got what you need.
Ice cream and lemonade was amazing. Waffles were a bit dry and overcooked. Would definitely go back for the ice cream.
What a hidden gem lovely place for ice cream. They have a very interesting selection of desserts and gelato to try.
Waffles were good. Staff weren’t very attentive & had a negative attitude. Stood waiting for ages while both staff members sat behind the glass screen in the kitchen with headphones on staring at their phones.
They have amazing gelato and waffles. Can highly recommend that you treat yourself. They have a great selection of gelato to choose from and to enjoy.
