LB Seafood Bistro, Hermanus

Just arrived in Hermanus for a bit of a break and popped in here for a quick bite. Had the old harbour platter and it's really good, the fish, calamari and fish cakes tasted great. Service is very good too, and the views are just wow! Menu is seafood orientated but there is a bit of everything, to cater for a variety of tastes.Food: 4/5

This is the best restaurant I've ever been. It has a beautiful view and when it is nice and sunny they open the doors and you feel like you are in Paradise. The food is very delicious and filling. They have one of the best milkshakes I have ever had. There are games for children and adults to play when waiting for their food and if you like the games you can even buy the games at the place they have a whole Littles place where all the games are for sale. Kid-friendliness: Lemonicious has a big variety of games that you can play with your friends and family at your table.

Unbelievable views with amazing food to much. The service was amazing and all staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

Great views, but unfortunately that is all there is to rave about. The food was absolutely below average. We had the cheese burger because we just thought to have a safe choice... trying a new restaurant and this burger was not good, especially for the price R135, the bun was not fresh, the cheese was a cheap slice of processed cheese, the garnish was minimal and the chips oily didn't even eat them ... And pcould've stopped by a fast food burger joint and eat the same average meal for R60 & sit on a bench with sea views... We won't be returning.

Great view, average food. Just dropped by for an afternoon snack. I had the homemade bread with a poke bowl. The homemade bread turned out to be a home-buttered slice of toast picture for reference. The poke bowl contained canned pineapples but was okay other than that.

Delicious little dinner spot with an absolute beautiful view over Hermanus old harbour. Best thing I ate in a while was a starter called Japanese oystes, absolutely delicious photo attached I also had the sweet and sour hake, which was delicious, not perfect, but very interesting and tasty. My wife had the salt and pepper calamari which was crispy, fresh and well seasoned. Accompanied by delicious cocktails it was a great dinner with good service. Slightly on the expensive side, but it's a great spot for a date night with beautiful views and absolutely friendly staff. Update - took visitors and family for the Japanese oysters, still the best on town. Just walked in and had oysters, I just had to share the goodness. Thanks for the great quality and interesting twist to an already delicious oyster. The regular oysters are also delicious, sweet and fresh. Will have one everytime I'm in Hermanus. Craving them already

Seriously from start to finish, this restaurant knows what they are doing. I have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in the world, this little restaurant has all the boxes ticked. Service is on the ball, no waiting or asking for service. The Sushi is possible the finest I have eaten, with such a great menu of sushi this place is a must for all those who enjoy sushi. Price wise, not too expensive but valued at its worth. Highly recommended

Good cocktails, but sadly that was the only good thing. My girlfriend and I both ordered their line fish of the day, which was Kabeljou... and how we wish we ordered something different. We both have food poisoning now and need medical assistance. Spending R900 for a couple plates of mediocre fish and then getting sick from it - not worth it. Which is a shame because the restaurant looks beautiful and the cocktails were very nice. This was also my first time here as my South African girlfriend said this place was really nice - we were both really disappointed.
