Christoph Leistner has practiced as attorney in Pretoria, South Africa, for more than twenty years. Born of German parents in South Africa, he attended the German School in Pretoria and obtained his South African legal qualifications at the University of Pretoria. Before qualifying as an attorney and joining an established legal partnership in 1990, he served in the legal field for a number of years with the Institute of Foreign and Comparative Law of the University of South Africa (UNISA) and in various State Departments.
Since 1995 he has practiced independently under the name of Leistner Attorneys in the east of Pretoria. On account of his frequent assignments for members of the local German-speaking community, he is well known there and co-operates closely with the German Embassy, the South African-German Chamber of Commerce, various cultural organizations and the German School of Pretoria, where he presently serves as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors. He is a member of the local Law Society and accepts instructions from all sections of the population and from abroad.

Christoph Leistner verfügt über mehr als zwanzig Jahre Erfahrung als Anwalt. Als Sohn deutscher Eltern in Südafrika geboren, besuchte er die Deutsche Schule Pretoria und erhielt seine juristische Ausbildung an der Universität Pretoria. Ehe er seine Befähigung als Anwalt erwarb und einer Sozietät beitrat, war er mehrere Jahre am Institut für Internationales und Vergleichendes Recht der University of South Africa (UNISA) und anschließend bei staatlichen Behörden tätig.
1995 eröffnete er im Osten von Pretoria sein eigenes Anwaltsbüro “Leistner Attorneys”. Dank zahlreicher Mandanten in der deutschsprachigen Gemeinschaft im Raum Pretoria, ist er weithin bekannt und arbeitet eng zusammen mit der Botschaft der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, mit der Deutsch-Südafrikanischen Industrie- und Handelskammer und mit verschiedenen kulturellen Organisationen, u.a. der Deutschen Schule Pretoria, wo er derzeit Stellvertretender Vorsitzender des Vorstands ist. Er ist Mitglied der hiesigen Anwaltskammer, arbeitet für alle Bevölkerungsgruppen und übernimmt selbstverständlich auch Aufträge aus dem Ausland.
Leistner Attorneys berät Mandanten in deutscher, englischer und afrikaanser Sprache. Schwerpunkte sind Einwanderungsrecht, internationale Handels- und andere Wirtschaftsbeziehungen sowie Erb- und Familienrecht.
