I enjoyed my first visit to Lesakeng. Even though the signboard says car wash and take aways, there’s actually room to sit and enjoy your meal. I was part of a group of about 20, and even though the seating area is a bit small, there was enough room for all of us. We had pre-ordered chicken and chips and I was disappointed to find that the chicken was fried, without the option to have it grilled. There were also no bank card facility, meaning we used cash. This could have been problematic for me as I typically do not carry lots of cash on me, but thankfully I had enough to meet my bill on the day. I don’t know how long the place has been going but, already a favourite with the locals, it seems headed for the same level of fame as Max’s and Eyadini in Durban. Will happily go back there if in the neighbourhood 22/06/2019: Went back since I was last there 7 months ago and the place had improved. There was a fridge so one could now buy cold soft drinks and the seating area had been expanded. Being a weekend, the place was abuzz with both car wash and food shop busy. My group and I had a great time and we enjoyed the delicious chicken wing platters and chips/fries. Another container has been installed on the premises which isn’t functional yet but seems to indicate impending expansion of services. Looking forward to being back again and seeing what improvements will have been done. My rating moves from 3 to 4 stars.
