It is the best library of all times. The service is so good
The library is very good and quiet. The only problem is that it doesn't open on Saturdays when I especially need to study because it's not quiet at home. It says it's open but it's actually not.
Is a very good place to read and is quiet
Quite saddened while im making this report. I started using the library this year and it was a quiet, well maintained place, as a proper library should be. This morning, however, i had a different experience. I arrived at the front desk parcel counter to leave my bag. After taking my books out i offered the bag to the lady attending the parcels. At which point she simply stared at me in the most irritated way. She was in a laid back position ever since i entered the door i noticed as i was reading the opening times on the glass door before walking in. She then asked in her native tongue if id never been taught to greet i think. Not understanding the language, i said in Zulu a more common language than my own mother tongue that i did not understand what she had said. She responded, still with that irritated look, in kind by asking if i had not been taught to greet. Noticing the look and the tone, i tried to explain that i had not noticed the need, as we were both here for professional purposes. She asked and queried this multiple times while i tried to overcome the shock of her demeanor to clarify my point. I eventually concluded by saying that i had not noticed the particular need to greet and that i do actually try to be friendly and respectful as possible, but was simply so occupied with my purpose of being here that it had slipped my mind to greet. She then retorted, asking: what if your bags go missing? Who are you gonna call for? I retorted in kind, asking: is there no one who works here?. She said she knows not of such a person, still with that irritated look. I considered the threat lingering in her 'missing bags' question and then simply asked for my bag back. She replied it was better that way as she handed it to me. I then left with her telling others that i was giving her attitude problems. Ive previously heard it said that a place with terrible facilities and great people is better than a place with excellebt facilities and terrible people. Unfortunately, this is true, as I've just been taught.
It had no water and was not allowing people in
Free WiFi, study rooms facilities and computers for research.
