My name is Liesel Wessels. I am an artist from Bloemfontein, South Africa. I specialize in contemporary Realistic Portrait Drawings and Paintings.
I am a Christian Artists, which is, in essence, the main reason why I pursued art as a career. I don’t make use of stereotypical imagery like Crosses, Fishes etc. I personally find that is cheapens “Christianity” to flat symbols without meaning. The cross is only symbols to something far more complex.
My works deal with issues like inner believe, self-esteem and beauty. But I also reflect on how God feels about us, which I believe if people truly understood would open a whole new world to us.
