One of my top experiences at a top notch spa. Beautifully designed on the inside. Staff are warm presentable and friendly. Deborah was my therapist, amazing and brilliant. Treatments are relaxing and would of been even better if there were restrictions of the use of mobile phones. A very. Inconsiderate female sitting next to me for pedicures chatting with her lady next to her and made calls which disturbed the serenity. The food served for our particular group was good however there was zero items for pescatarians.
Had an amazing day at this spa. It was the icing on the cake for my superb vacation in South Africa. Friendly and efficient team. My masseuse was excellent. My skin care specialist was very knowledgable and thorough. I am a happy customer. I will return with family and friends on my next visit. 5 stars
My first spa experience today! Wow! Deborah was my therapist, she was incredible just the right amount of pressure. Facilities are super clean, staff very friendly and the food is just great! Can’t wait to go back!!!!
Experience was very disappointing overall, we arrived exactly on time and the first 30 mins of my massage was a dialogue from the therapist about how late I was and how she had other clients booked back to back and this was an inconvenience to her. The space was over booked and very crowded, just too many people and not peaceful and serene. The staff seemed panicked and stressed and it came across in the service. The heated pool was full of hair and dirty… the steam room was out of order. The bathroom has only one change room so there was a long queue for the guests… adding to the delays. On top of it all my mother’s therapist said she was feeling sick for a few days which is so dangerous post pandemic. They had no vegetarian meals available and gave me kitchen cleaner when I asked for sanitizer! Just very unprofessional and disorganized compared to other life day branches.
Very nice decor, atmosphere and facilities. One of the best spas I've been to in Johannesburg. Free nespresso coffee and other drinks are offered. The pool area is lovely to relax and unwind. The Swiss shower and steam room add to a great experience. My Swedish massage was good. My pedicure was not as great - my nails werent buffed nor filed which I thought was very weird. Other than that, I had a great time and will be back.
Stunning day spa with heated pools, steam rooms and many other facilities to ensure you leave relaxed and refreshed. Staff are attentive and polite. Treatments are of a very high standard.
I can never get hold of them, the phone perpetually goes to voicemail which tells you to use the WhatsApp line which no one responds to for hours on end! If you eventually do get through to anyone you will really need a spa day because it’s extremely frustrating! I’ve been there a few times and it’s good once you are there to be fair, but more often than not I wanted to go and just haven’t been able to get through! I’ve wasted two hours of my morning trying to get through.
Just would like to bring your attention to my unhappiness about the full body massage as per below: One book on no one advises that it’s just a rubbing of oil session. There was little to no pressure used. If I had known this, I wouldn’t have booked. The towels were lumping and left a black bubble effect residue on my skin. Therapist clearly would have seen this but no acknowledgment or comment about it. I was not offer any warm beverage after massage. Therapist was not smiley or welcoming, as if she was doing me a favour which wasn’t the best feeling. When removing the towel from eyes, no warning about it like “I will remove towel so you can turn” or slowly telling me what will happen next, just towel removed from eyes. I asked for a pillow for my head which was also ignored. Not once in treatment did she ask if I was ok or comfortable. I would actually prefer a refund for my spa treatment. At first I was going to chalk it down to a bad experience but I realised I paid a lot of money for it so why should I waste R720 for something I didn’t enjoy.
The Service when making a booking is extremely appalling, this is the second time I’m making a booking with the baby spa first time there was no response at all and this time I get told “my email didn’t come through” which is obviously not true. I then get a phone call to tell me there’s no spots available with no communication as to when they will have availability the lady who made the call in question also gave poor service and had such a bad tone when speaking. I live in bryanston but I would rather drive to floating panda in PTA where I know my baby and myself will be treated well. I regret making a booking with life day baby. Distasteful experience!
I always have the best treatments at this spa. The management and therapists are incredible and literally go above an beyond for you. Definitely my favourite spa
