Worse depressed private hospital in Umtata , the staff is rude and selfish ,they have favourites patients and when I told them that I am in pains so I asked for medication to decrease the pains, they left the ward and come back after 2 hours. After that they gossip about me saying that am annoying them. I will never go back there anymore Life St Mary's Umtata
I had the best experience at the hospital both times I've been there. I live far away from Mthatha now but I would a hundred times prefer being hospitalized there than any other place.
I was admitted at peads with my sick child around 11pm on the 6th August 2022... I have never had a good experience with life st Mary's before.... But this time I saw a big change in attitude and way of doing things specifically the night duty staff so hands on kind and helpful .... Great attitudes.... If this can be practiced through out the hospital there would be less complaints and the hospital name would be revived
Just calling the reception already a bad experience, unwilling to help and rude staff. and this at the first point of contact with a hospital, terrible.
I came to the hospital with breathing problems and chest pains , only to arrive to poor assistance . The staff was very rude and unwelcoming . I had to be moved to another hospital because they wouldn't help me .
Worst place to go to incase of emegency. There is no sense of urgency at all from their emegency unit. No doctors until 10am? What is the meaning of emegency then? I don't recommend it at all. I will never go to that hospital again. I'll always blook for an alternative. Imagine arriving at 3am with a sick child only for the doctor to see the child at 10am. It's a not for me.
I wish to lodge a formal complaint against the hospital. I am a patient in room 4 surgical bed A.I lost out medication the whole day o Tuesday 12 January 2021 because nurses are unable to get a vein from my body.My health deteriorated faster that day and I started.Today is the same problem I lost out on medication the whole day.Same reason-I don't have a vein.The sister attending to.me said she is waiting for someone who is well versed with this.How can a hospital employee incompetent people gambling with our livers breathing problems.
It’s great so far the staff is so friendly, the rooms are kept clean all the time, the food is amazing, thank you so much keep it up guys you really add hope to us as patients that everything is going to be fine I’m really loving it here the only thing i would advise is the en suite bathrooms in all the wards so that patients don’t have to go too far for a bath but that as well is not a deal breaker though
the worst private hospital i have ever visited. no beds to admit my 2 year old daughter. the admin staff work as if you are troubling them for being there, no doctors available immediately at casualty to assist patients that come in. if this is the accepted standard at life health, than i'm deeply disappointed in the poor service. the 1 star is for the doctor who eventually came and checked our baby but then refereed her to another hospital since they did not have beds.
Had a severe medical condition that needed urgent attention only to be told there are no beds I had to go to Nelson Mandela.. Imagine having medical aid that you can't use... Poor service
