Art Lovers 1932 is based in Waterkloof, Pretoria. Art Lovers believe that it is important for the growth of the art market to make contemporary art accessible to a mixed audience of art lovers, buyers and investors of all ages and income groups. We do this by utilising our three exhibition spaces and our passion for art to create a relaxed environment where people feel comfortable to come and view exhibitions and ask questions around all aspects of art and art investment.
Art Lovers 1932 is passionate about the development of young artists and provide young artists with opportunities to participate in solo and group exhibitions, which are not always freely available to young artists at other venues. Art Lovers host an annual art competition with a focus on art works with a strong contemporary feel while still showing technical excellence.
We deal in Contemporary Art, Paper and Printed Works. We also have a handmade jewellery selection that make affordable gifts and fine hand crafted silver jewellery pieces
The gallery is situated in the residential area of Waterkloof, with a shop front facing the street, has three separate rooms where artworks are exhibited and displayed.
We are associated with Trent Gallery and Cameo Framers, next door to us, through some common shareholding. The two galleries often work together on initiatives.
Artists that would like to provide consignment works or hold an exhibition, are also welcome to contact us.
For art buyers outside the Pretoria area, who cannot visit the gallery to purchase works, we have a very reliable and reasonably priced courier company who can deliver straight to your door. Please contact us for arrangements in this regard.
