If I could, it would be 0 stars. Last update I received was that I placed an order. When I ordered, I was supposed to be able to collect on 19 Dec 2022. Never got feedback, started calling and asking what is happening. They said it will be there later the day or the next morning. It is now 2 days later, still no item in stock and I am not given feedback. I have escalated the issue twice, and was promised that I would be given feedback, yesterday, when I called. I never got feedback. I now cancelled my order. I don't trust the fact that they say it will be here in the next day or 2. I now have to wait until the item arrives, before they will refund me, which is not noted in their refund policy. You really do know how to keep consumers happy...... Horrible service and no feedback from them at any time, unless I called. It was the first time I ordered, never again. Stay away!
I've been a customer or theirs before Takealot but I don't buy from them often. When I do, I've had no problems with them. Yes, their orders can take quite a while to be ready but they have a better selection of books especially. I did have an issue with a DVD fairly recently, and initially asked for an exchange, then asked for a refund, but they followed up with an exchange that works.
Pre-ordered the new Pokemon game months ago, only gets shipped two days after its international release, was "packing" for multiple days. Have sent numerous requests to cancel and refund but order ends up being shipped anyway. Update: Received the refund relatively quickly so bumping up a couple of stars but had to return the product. If they had acted faster, it would never have been dispatched and the whole process would have been faster and smoother. Room to improve.
What a disaster of a company! Placed an order on 20/10/2022 that said that all items were in stock and the order would be delivered by 26/10/2022. It is now already 01/11/2022 and no update on this order. After 2x phone calls to customer care the first customer care rep promised to follow up and get back, which he did not I've pretty much been told that they have moved warehouses so they will eventually ship it out some time within the next two weeks but they aren't 100% sure where the order is or when I will actually receive it. If I want to cancel my order they will have to do an EFT refund since I did not pay by credit card as their payment gateway was down when placing the order - to make things worse which will take several days. I've never experienced such bad service for an e-commerce company and will definitely never be using them again! So many better options with far better service. Avoid at all costs!
One of the slowest company's you'll get. They reschedule the delivery of your package everyday. I bought our company's Christmas gifts from them, looks like I'll only receive the gifts in the New year. Oh, they also rock up at your hours for delivery with no previous communication, so you will never know when they will show up. They just do or they don't.
Excellent service they communicate with you on time if there's a delay with your order.I love buying textbooks from them their prices are good value for money. I will shop with them in future. Keep up the good work!
Loot used to be great. They now have zero support so if you have any problem you are outta luck, nothing will happen. I have sent 10 emails with no response. So have to go through VISA to get the funds reversed. What a pain... RESPONSE: I have responded with this information via facebook messenger already. And i have sent 10 emails with this information. Edit 2: 20 days and still no action even with the "response" from loot below.
Tried phoning their customer care in regards to an order they messed up. The "robot" or what ever you want to call it, CLEARLY states 08:00 to 18:00 and then they say we must call back during office hours. The best part of all this is that their customer care hours on Google clearly states "Open 24 hours" To top it all off, they gave us the incorrect products. Absolutely disgusted and furious
I've done an order with them, on the 13 of January 2023, it's the 6th of February today. I haven't received my order as yet, they don't respond to emails and the guy I spoke to said he was going to call me back with an update but never. There's no feedback at all but they are quick to take peoples money. Pathetic service! Never ever buying again from Loot!!!!! Don't even deserve my one star!
I have found Loots return process frustratingly slow and non-communicative. I have been waiting for 3 days with no certainty about a plan in place for the return. I've made numerous calls to loot which don't help. I still don't know what is happening with my return. These is no urgency in their system and this could take weeks for a simple return return/exchange. My order number is YZGH-386-B2A0
