The food was amazing! And the service was very attentive. The venue is also spacious and private. Look out for their sushi and Chinese food buffet, very affordable with a great selection.
Nearly three weeks traveling in SA, I was craving some Chinese food and Lotus didn’t let me down!!! Food was authentic and staff was friendly! Especially the owner, when ordering food, she always offered to show the ingredients to make sure meeting customers expectations!
Food is absolutely out of this world amazing! Service is awesome and the owner is so sweet! Definitely coming back again and again! Super Authentic, super delicious and super affordable If you're in the Rosebank area this is definitely a spot worth stopping at.
Four out of five, nice Chinese food I loved the chicken soup oh my God. The Duck, pork, chinese pasta and some other that I don't remember the name, they were all delicious. It was a good experience to eat with Chinese chopsticks I was forgetting about about the Chinese drink
Wow. Words simply cannot do this place justice. The food is phenomenal! Hot, fresh, brought to your table quickly after ordering. The staff go beyond just the extra mile and Ilene is a beautiful person. Ignore any bad reviews and place give this place a try! They really deserve the business.
The food was very tasty, I was expecting more variety from the buffet, but what was there was really good. My daughter is allergic to seafood, and the owner was kind enough to make her chicken California rolls, so she was ecstatic. The center is dead on a Sunday, so it gives off an eerie feeling. There is plenty of underground parking too.
If Chinese food is your weakness, and you are looking for a great deal then i suggest checking out Lotus Rosebank. Buffets are usually not my thing, but i was privileged to try out their Sunday Buffet for a ridiculously low price of R119 and i can happily report that it is such great value for money in the heart of Rosebank. The quality of the food is NOT compromised at all, there is massive variety, the food is cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. I even got to satisfy my Sushi craving which is part of the buffet offerings. My favourites were the Duck and Crispy Chicken along with noodles and sweet and sour chicken. The sliced Potato Salad is something different and a must try. For desserts you HAVE to have the Egg tarts. Our waitress Gladys was on point. She is a such a pleasure, friendly and good with suggestions. She will even walk you through the tables explaining all the different food. If you are a picky eater, then speak to the staff they will definitely assist. Compliments to the Chef, it was a proper feast. There was just too many pictures of the food not to post all, hence the album. #LotusRosebank #TheFoodMusketeer #TheFoodMusketeerEats #TFMLotusRosebank

Updated: Yummy Sunday buffet, great service from the owner, delicious food. Can't go wrong here ---------------- Absolutely delicious dishes, served hot straight out the kitchen to your table. Tasty, yummy traditional Cantonese style cooking. Sushi was really good and fresh. Looking forward to trying dessert the next time round. Decor is beautiful, plenty space between tables. And the owner is friendly and courteous.
Sunday lunch buffet at R 268 is not worth it. Facebook advertised as R 199. The restaurant is super clean and not crowded so you feel relaxed but it does feel like a canteen and not a traditional Chinese restaurant. The waiters are friendly and clear your plates quickly. The downside is the price and what food is on offer, they do not match. The cooked food is tasty but the sushi needs decent salmon portions and more variety like salmon hand rolls and tuna sashimi etc. Anyone can buy sweet and sour chicken and bok Choi and not spend R 268 on that. The sushi is fresh but scanty. Disappointment from Lizzy when she asked us for more money after giving her a 10% tip for bringing us water and clearing a plate. Bad manners to haggle patrons who feel as though they have already been swindled. Probably better to have a normal dinner or lunch there vs. a buffet as I have heard many good things.
