Karen is an excellent dog trainer and a great communicator. She also has a sincere love for all the dogs she trains.
We came here weekly with our two dogs for just under a year in total and I can confidently say that there has been a significant improvement with regard to the issues we sought to solve. I recommend Karen's methodologies and techniques for the purpose of dog training. Even if her specific techniques did not work for someone's dog, she always tried to adapt the class to cater to individual needs and try new approaches until the person found something that worked for them and their dog. We left her classes feeling more assertive, confident, and most importantly - Karen equipped us with a versatile, effective framework to train our dogs to do pretty much anything we can set our minds to. Thank you for the immense patience and guiding hand, Karen.
Old school but effective training. If you listen and pay attention you quickly realise a lot of the dog's obedience is dependant on the owner. The recommended tools are effective and well thought out. Would definitely recommend Karen for training a young puppy or a dog that requires obedience.

Professional, friendly, and a lot of fun for the puppies, owners, and spectators. She has a large lawn with enough space for long-leash exercises, and groups of about 10 puppies at a time. Highly recommended for everyone with a puppy. Those puppies have a wonderful head start in terms of obedience, handling strangers, and handling other dogs.
I've been taking my Boerboel to Karen's classes since he's been a pup. He is now a full grown 65kg piece of meat who loves meeting new people and playing with kids. The only danger of him being near you is his slobber. Karen helped me raise a well adjusted, obedient dog.
If you want to have a better relationship with your dog not only out and about but at home, then Karen's dog training classes will help you to achieve that. Don't expect to turn your dog into an automaton, just expect a dog that is more of a pleasure to have around and one that is much better socialised.
Initially training seems to be basic, however this basic training is essential to develop your mind and confidence to become the pack leader. Suitable for new and current puppy owners
