Not a great experience. We were a group of colleagues there for a work function. Some of the rooms only had bath tubs and they were full of dust/dead spiders or did not have bath plugs, and when asking for plugs we were just looked at as if we were crazy. Some people didn’t even sleep in their own rooms due to it being so dirty. We had to leave very early for said work function, and asked if possible to have breakfast at 6am. We were indirectly told that 6am is a bit early, because then they would have to be in the kitchen at 5am to start cooking, but if we opted to not have breakfast we would not be refunded as per their policy. The rooms that we did sleep in though had comfortable and clean beds, but I would not recommend this place.
Nice, simple quiet location, away from the bustle of town. Surrounded by nature and vegetation..the place has a rustic country side feel to it. Cosy wedding venue type of place, with accommodation, chapel, reception venues.They also have donkeys and carriages for weddings or other events. Clothing boutique, Crafty gift store available and a mini tuck shop are available on the premises. Child and family friendly, with jungle gym swings and slide play area. A pool is also present although we didnt use it as the weather was cold when we stayed over. Rooms were clean and decent. Staff were professional and welcoming. Especially Coralie, thanks so much for the warm welcome and hosting.

Very helpful staff that went over and above to ensure our stay was comfortable one. They managed to even put together breakfast to feed myself and a team of 5 at the crack of dawn, as we had to leave early to be at a site. The actual surroundings are quiet and tranquil Would recommend to anyone in the Limpopo province
Arrived late Friday night to very friendly owner who personally showed us to our rooms. We were a group of 16. The meals were prompt and ready with very proper and friendly settings. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The property has many wonderful features including a church, childrens playground, beautiful grounds with many song birds, pool, water gardens and many more. The owners were very friendly and wonderful to talk with. Enjoyed a very nice outdoor bbq prepared by the owners themselves. I look forward to returning again.
We love this place, we visit this location regularly, the owners are very friendly. For accommodation, weddings etc, I would highly recommend Makarios Lodge.
