Mama City Improv Fest is an International Improv Festival in Cape Town, South Africa. Every year , for 5 days, we are hosting a series of classes, jam sessions and performances with instructors and performers coming from South Africa, Canada, United States and Europe. Mama City Improv Fest’s aim is to create a platform to foster and celebrate Cape Town and South Africa’s growing improv scene.
Local performers can collaborate, perform, discuss, create, and showcase the funny that South Africa has to offer. Mama City also exists to welcome our improv friends from all over the world to our outrageously fabulous city, and produce quality improv shows that keep audiences coming back again and again to support live comedy. Whether you are young, old, new to improv or an old-hat actor, a software engineer, carpenter, unemployed or a trust-fund baby - improv is your right, and you are welcome here!
