My mother used to bring her boerboels here for training. So naturally I decided to follow suit when I adopted two dogs. It's only been two lessons, but my Jo Jo loves it here and the handlers are so patient, caring and helpful. It's the highlight of our week, and I cannot wait to see how disciplined and well mannered my babies become as time goes on.

If I could it'd be a 0 star rating. Iam so very upset about the state our dogs were in when we picked them up. I just want people to be aware so their dogs won't be traumatized like ours. 1. We were told we could not see the facilities because of parvovirus "quarantine", so that's lack of transparency. 2. They were both extremely dirty, full of fleas and ticks. Our girl has an eye infection due to her eyes being extremely dirty. 3. Our boy's toenail was pulled up and looked extremely bad, and we had to have it removed by our veterinarian that same afternoon. He was yelping and crying so very much and needed antibiotics and pain killers. We never got a proper explanation and were never told exactly what happen. 4. We paid for the boy's training and he is worse than when we left him there. We were not told how to work with him or what he had been taught. 5. They said the boy slipped out, and that's how they knew he was ok with the other dogs. That could have been fatal for either him or another dog. He is a bull terrier and can be dangerous if provoked or scared. He also has several bite marks on his face and legs. *Conclusion* : Manderston Canine Academy is very irresponsible, and we will never take our dogs back. I am personally so disappointed that we trusted our special dogs with them. I do not reccomend them to anyone.
Great place for training pups and older dogs. Our dog loves it and she has learned socializing so she is used to guests and other dogs around her.
We love bringing our dog to Manderston for training and recently utilized the kennels for our weekend away. Our little fur child absolutely loved it! She got fed, fussed and groomed, made tons of friends and even got taken to training when we couldn’t! We didn’t worry for a second about her. We had so many requests and changes and Lloyd and Lisa and the team were always happy to help and accommodate us! Highly recommend!
Best boarding place for your dogs! You leave there knowing your dog will be in good hands and can have a care-free time away. Having someone keep you updated, sending videos just makes it that much better!
We left our 7 month old in the care of Manderston for 3 months. They have taken care of him very well, when we reunited he was very healthy with a shiny coat and they have trained him so well that he is now an obedient child. We also received updates and pictures of him everyday. Thanks to Lloyd, Russel and Lisa for taking care of our loved one.
Our dogs love going to the Manderston Kennels when we go on holiday, they play, run and swim giving us peace of mind while on a long or short vacation. Our Giant Schnauzer 5 years old and us benefited a lot from the puppy training classes. We also took the miniature schnauzer 1 year oldfor a few lessons.
My dog and i learned a lot from the academy . The instructors are very friendly and informative
Friendly, knowledgable trainers, a wonderful atmosphere and a relaxed but dedicated place to help give your dog a place to learn. Convenient times and classes, and various levels of training are catered to. The free coffee is a big plus on a cold winter morning!
