Being a Cape Town artist, I paint the beautiful scenery which surrounds me, landscape, seascapes, proteas and urban sketches.
Colour, rhythm, form, the landscape which surrounds us, the glow in the early morning, the heat in mid January, the wind, as it whips over the mountain, these are but some of moments which inspire my work. Painting ‘en plein air’ or in the studio, I take my reference from nature. Passionate about painting, I graduated from UNISA with a BAFA and continued at Wits to do a postgraduate diploma in painting which I passed with distinction. Since then I participate in many group exhibitions and I have had a number of solo shows. Being a member of SASA, I have attained the award ‘Best Mixed Media’ twice. My work has found homes all over the world.
